Article Snippet: A table of normalized standard deviations corresponding to different thresholds of expected information gain was evaluated by numerical integration in the symbolic mathematics program Mathematica (Wolfram Research, Champaign, Illinois, USA) and was then used to define thresholds in Phaser (McCoy et al. , 2007 ) without new functions having to be implemented.
